My Italy travel planner services take you to Barolo & Beyond.
Don’t worry, the girl’s not going dry – Girl’s Gotta Drink continues to be your go-to resource for Barolo wine country travel as well as my food, wine, and Italian culture musings. But, now I’m sharing my Italy travel planning services that take you beyond my Barolo wine tours and Piedmont wine region programs.
Pre-pandemic, I was doing more and more custom programs in the Piedmont wine region. With that, clients started asking me to create experiences similar to my Barolo travel programs in other regions, so I started formalizing my partner network. In addition, I developed partnerships with travel designers who share my vision for experience planning and can fill in the gaps for areas that are new to me. So, now I am ready to do even more planning all over Italy!
Below, find an overview of my Italy travel planner services:
- Barolo wine tours – small group, joinable, private
- Piedmont guided / unguided / custom programs
- Italy Travel Planning – Beyond Barolo
- Travel Consult Calls
- Special Events / Destination Weddings
Italy Travel Planning:
To Barolo & Beyond!
Last year, I had clients all over, from Bologna, Modena, Tuscany, Franciacorta, Etna, Liguria, and more. Together with my partners, we managed train strikes, explored wine regions from north to south, and built out unforgettable experiences in Italy that had me itching to get back out to explore my adopted country.
This year, in addition to my Piedmont wine region planning, I’ve got programs in Amalfi, Sorrento, Sicily, Rome, Tuscany, Liguria, and more!
Don’t worry, Barolo wine tours are here to stay – and they are getting better.
Barolo wine tours are the heart and soul of my business. Girl’s Gotta Drink launched in June 2013 when I moved to the Piedmont wine region and the tours started because y’all love my content so much (grazie tantissimo!!) My goal was to help readers explore the region with area dining guides, tips and tricks on navigating the region, area wine info, and more. During the pandemic, we bulked up our wine education with wine offers, pairing tips, and recipes to help pass the time. None of that is changing and we’ve got more coming to you this year to help you better know the Piedmont wine region with content and more in-depth Piedmont wine tours.
Barolo tour options:
- The Daily Tour: A general area intro. Guide or driver optional, joinable or private.
- The Wine Geek Tour: Private sommelier-led experience featuring specialty tastings and experiences.
- Personal Wine Buyer Experience: Also private, somm-led with emphasis on themes and experiences geared at you helping you with cellaring needs. The program includes support with sourcing wine and shipping.
- Cultural and Gastronomic Experiences: For private tours, add gastronomic or cultural experiences.
- Unguided Programs: Add unguided activities to your program and I can book you a driver or you can drive (or train it) yourself! This includes everything from truffle hunts to cooking classes, Turin Walking Tours, specialty wine tastings, and more.

You want a Custom Barolo Wine Tour Program? I got you.
Custom Barolo and Piedmont wine region programs have become one of my specialties. I manage all your logistical needs – transfer services, lodging, dining, and even wine sourcing and shipping.
For experiences and activities, start with a review of my Services Catalog For more involved programs, I create custom experiences with wineries and local artisans. These programs usually span three to 10 days and can include day trips to Turin, the Alta Langa, Genoa, and more.
Don’t want a guide, just access to Piedmont wine region activities? No problem.
Request my services catalog for a list of activities I can book for you to do on your own. I can organize a driver service or provide all the necessary details to navigate there yourself. You can even do a mix of guide and unguided experiences.
Request my services catalog and a consult call to get started.
Can we talk!? You bet, consult calls are absolutely on offer.
Sign up for a 30-minute consult call to discuss your travel plans. These sessions take place via video chat. After the call is confirmed, I send you a list of intake questions to drill down our time together. Then, after the call, receive a follow-up email with all we discussed, recommendations, and next steps. Request a call!
For custom Barolo tour programs and multiple region travel planning support, I suggest we start with the consult call to better develop your program. Just talking to people helps me get more creative with custom activities and ideas – and, that’s my favorite!
