If you are in the Langhe this week, don’t miss this unique dining experience: Josetta Saffirio Dinner in the Vineyards. A wine pairing dinner under the stars, right in the vineyards of Barolo. Sounds pretty magical, right!?

Josetta Saffirio: Dinner in the Vineyards Program

The evening starts at 17:00 (5 p.m.) with a cellar visit that introduces the winery’s vinification process and company philosophy.

Then, guests mingle over aperitivo of the house Nebbiolo d’Alba Spumante Rosè Brut in the barrel room.

At 18:00 (6 p.m.) guests walk from the cellar to the Castelletto vineyards, following the description of Langhe’s crus for dinner prepared by local Chef Matteo Morra.

Each course features a specially paired Josetta Saffirio wine. The meal includes all the Josetta Saffirio Barolo wines (Barolo 2013, Barolo Persiera 2013 and Barolo Millenovecento48 Riserva 2011).

Antipasti: Marinated Salmon with goat’s mousse, green apple, and mango dressing. Crispy rice chips, french beans, burrata cheese, and veal sausage.
Wine Pairing: Langhe Rossese Bianco DOC 2015.

Primo: Risotto with Barolo wine and Roccaverano sauce.
Wine Pairing: Barbera d’Alba Superiore DOC 2015 and Barolo DOCG 2013.

Secondo: Cod fish two ways.
Wine Pairing: Barolo Persiera DOCG 2013 and Barolo Millenovecento 48 Riserva DOCG 2011.

Dolce: Chocolate cake with passion fruit sauce.
Wine Pairing: Moscato d’Asti DOCG 2016.
